Psychotherapy

Psychotherapy is a process in which the therapist and the client work together to solve difficulties and life problems. The therapist helps the client increase awareness of himself and his reactions in order to better cope with difficulties and achieve greater emotional balance. Psychotherapy can be extremely helpful when dealing with emotional difficulties, relationship problems, or experiencing stress and anxiety. Thanks to therapy, we can better understand ourselves and our reactions, find new ways of dealing with difficulties and achieve greater satisfaction with life.
If you are looking for support and want to work on yourself, I encourage you to take advantage of Gestalt psychotherapy. Please contact me, I will be happy to help you find your way to better well-being and greater life satisfaction.

What is Gestalt Psychotherapy?

The basic principle that distinguishes Gestalt psychotherapy from other therapeutic approaches is that it takes place in the “Here and Now” convention. It focuses on the present and seeks answers to how past experiences influence current functioning. It does not focus on explaining causes, it does not answer “why” questions, it does not explain cause and effect relationships. This means that the process of change occurs by updating past experiences in the current therapeutic situation. Reliving and experiencing situations from the past takes place by updating them “here and now”. The basic techniques of Gestalt therapy are the recreation of past experiences in psychodrama and pantomime. You don’t talk about past events, you don’t talk about people who were absent from psychotherapy, but you talk to them, recalling them from your imagination. During therapy, a Gestalt psychotherapist, instead of looking for answers to the question – why is this happening, suggests looking for solutions – how can I change it.

Online Psychotherapy

Life nowadays is characterized by high mobility. More and more often, we decide to change our country of residence, we go on shorter and longer work contracts, and we meet life partners abroad. Even though we experience these events as happiness and success, they are also a source of a lot of stress.
Changing the place of residence is stressful, especially if we change not only the city, but also the country or continent, and therefore the language and culture in which we live. Moving also means a big change in social relationships that are important to us. People who were previously close to us become less available (e.g. going out for coffee with a friend becomes impossible), and building a new group of friends takes time.
Online psychotherapy is a solution addressed to people who have decided to change their country of residence or have difficult access to psychological help (e.g. due to numerous business trips) but would like to use therapy in Polish.
Online sessions take place using Skype or WhatsApp. The session fee must be paid no later than the day before the scheduled date.
